A Swedish-style massage primarily involves long, soft, kneading strokes to release tension from the muscles of your body. While releasing tension from the surface layers of muscles, this method uses light, tapping, rhythmic strokes.
Deep tissue massage therapy, is the applying of deep pressure, penetrating into the deeper layers of muscles which hold deep seated stress and toxins. Applying deep and focus pressure with the hand, forearm, elbow with firm pressure, helping the body to break down muscle tension and toxic build up in the body. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
Sports Massage is a deep form of soft tissue stretching and mobilization. A sports massage is used for general relaxation of the muscular skeletal system as well as being directed towards any problem areas. Sports massage helps relieve muscular tension, break down adhesion's, mobilize soft tissues and reduce pain.
Cupping is commonly indicated for soft tissue massage, temporary relief of common muscle, joint and nerve pain, sports injuries, mobility healthy.
What is Cupping?
Cupping is an ancient healing therapy that some people use to ease pain. A provider places cups on your back, stomach, arms, legs or other parts of your body. Inside the cup, a vacuum or suction force pulls skin upward. As there are other forms of Cupping, mine, is specific, to stationary and gliding over the body
Cupping is a form of traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern medicine. People have practiced cupping therapy for thousands of years.
How does Cupping work?
Experts are still exploring how cupping eases pain and disease symptoms. There isn’t a lot of research on the therapy.
Suction from cupping draws fluid into the treated area. This suction force expands and breaks open tiny blood vessels (capillaries) under the skin. Your body treats the cupping area like an injury. It sends more blood to the area to stimulate the natural healing process. Some people theorize that cupping clears the pores and releases toxins.
Vibration massage technique is a fine, gentle, trembling movement performed with hands or fingers, I take it a step further and use hand held massage devices. ... Vibration movements can help stimulate nerves, relieve muscular tension and decrease stress. Vibrations at a slower pace are an effective treatment to produce a feeling of relaxation.
What are the health benefits of vibration therapy?
I have developed my technique, to use a hand held massager, placing it on the back side of my hand. This allows me, to remain in constant human touch, with my client. This allows the client to feel the penetrating vibratory sensation through my hand, with me, being able to direct the vibrational force, to direct and specific parts of the body, using any number of modalities, relaxation, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pressure Point and Sports massage.
The massage is given in fluid, rhythmic motion using the forearms as well as the hands. Some people have described this as feeling like gentle waves moving over the body. Another feature is that different parts of the body may be massaged at the same time, for example one arm or hand may be working on a shoulder and the other hand may be working on the opposite hip. This assists the recipient in totally relaxing as it is impossible or at least extremely difficult for the brain to focus on the two different areas at once. By not working on areas in isolation a deep sense of balance and harmony is achieved. The client on the table is not viewed as someone to be fixed, but a being to be returned to harmony and balance.
Hot stone massage therapy helps melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism. Hot stones, when coupled with massage, also help to expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body.
Body scrubs are a mechanical exfoliant, meaning they physically remove dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin with abrasive ingredients, like sugar or salt. This stimulates skin cell turnover, resulting in smoother, brighter skin and possibly preventing future acne breakouts.
